A bit about me. I have a strong affection for anything outdoors where I can run, climb, hike, ski, and explore with my family and friends. My personal and professional experiences have prompted me to use advocacy as a tool to contribute to positive meaningful change working towards a more equitable, inclusive and just world. This is reflected in my work as a clinician, researcher, and community service member. For this reason, I am committed to lifelong experiential learning and growth to hone my capacity for cultural humility. I welcome adults of all ages, abilities, genders, orientations, ethnicities, and spiritual beliefs to reach out for care.

I work with individuals and couples seeking healing, growth, and stronger relationships. Many clients come to me struggling with anxiety, trauma, communication challenges, relationship conflict, life transitions, or spiritual concerns. Couples often seek support to rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen connection. Individuals may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or burdened by past experiences. I provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My practice specializes in couples counseling, trauma recovery, anxiety treatment, and faith-based counseling. I use evidence-based approaches to help clients strengthen relationships, process difficult experiences, manage anxiety, and build resilience. For those who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate Christian faith into the counseling process. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel difficult, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. Whether you are struggling in your relationship, carrying the weight of past hurts, or feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, support is available. I am committed to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can begin.

I believe in our ability and power to transform, heal, and thrive. I pursued education and now two decades of mental health work experience to work alongside you. You are not alone in this process. I will meet you where you are at and we will make goals and set a vision of where you want to be, who you want to become, and/or how you want to change. My priority is that you feel safe, respected, and seen throughout our work together. You have made it this far to even browse our profiles and look for the right fit for you. I already see your strength in making it to this step. Our working relationship is essential to your success in therapy. We carry HEAVY things within us and I’m capable of holding these heavy things with you. With this in mind, I take care and attention to what helps you feel supported. It’s time to make the changes you want and I’m here to help get you there!
I became a therapist because of my personal experience with finding hope and healing with the right person, at the right time in my life. It’s very vulnerable to open yourself up to a provider and I strive to always respect that courage by recognizing we work as partners in bringing hope and healing to your life, at your pace. I strive to provide a warm and safe place for my clients to feel they can be transparent without fear of judgement. I then openly let my clients know my perceptions so that they have an opportunity to provide clarification on their individual needs and correct any assumption I may have. I work hard to ensure my clients have a full understanding of what is happening in their treatment so they can feel empowered as an equal partner in the process. I often hear my clients express appreciation from being informed and having the power to determine the direction they want their treatment to go. As someone who works with fostering/rescuing animals, I find so much joy in getting to meet many of my clients pets. It brings a lot of comfort to have my pets near me, and it is comforting to know my clients are supported by their pets.

Do you tend to be tough on yourself, which can result in feelings of sadness, loneliness, or isolation? Are there times in your relationships when you feel unheard, leaving you frustrated and unsure? Have you considered that things could get better? Just remember, you're not alone in this. There’s hope! Many people go through similar struggles with relationships, challenging thoughts, and a mix of emotions.
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to be here. I know that struggling with anxiety is exhausting. You're awake at night and your body can't relax. You feel exhausted and tired on a regular basis. On the outside you seem successful, but on the inside you want to scream from all the pressure and feel stuck. Your relationships are also not where you want it to be - feeling disconnected, struggling with the same issues, and the thought that something’s missing. You want things to change, but don't know how to get there.

We make our services affordable by offering them on a sliding scale based on your income. The Peace-It-Together staff knows the unique stressors students carry as many of our staff are also students. Our counselors can provide students with stress reduction strategies to help with school performance anxiety and other school-related stressors. Juggling work, school, and relationships can be overwhelming at times. Our staff is here to help support you and listen to your concerns. We can offer interventions to help you thrive.
I like to think of therapy as a journey of inner exploration and I am along as a guide. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is a combination of intellectual understanding and emotional experience. In that regard, it feels like your feelings are our road signs that we are in the right track to self-growth. I try to not have a specific agenda going into sessions, but rather to go where it is you feel like you need to go at that time. I believe that it is my role to create a safe space for you to express and explore whatever it is that is inside you. Compassion is key, and cultivating self-compassion is one of the most important elements of therapy. I look forward to helping you explore and become more self-aware and self-compassionate!
