My name is Katherine May and I look forward to helping you create a life that is peaceful, fruitful, and full of beauty. I believe in helping people build on their strengths, gain insight, and develop effective coping skills. I am a Double Dawg and love our Athens community dearly! My professional experience has included working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. I work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, work stress, adjustment issues, and life transition issues. I enjoy working with college students, staff, and faculty to discuss adjustment, and other issues that come up during this important time of transition. I also enjoy working with first responders and those in social services and the medical field, to cope with crisis situations and secondary trauma. My other passion is working with people experiencing work stress and learning how to establish boundaries to maintain a positive work-life balance. If you are ready to start your journey toward healing, please feel free to reach out to me via email. I provide a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if I may be a good fit for your counseling needs. During this consultation, I can answer any questions you have about the counseling process.

Hi, I'm Aliyah! I work with clients who are depressed or anxious, having issues with family, or simply just need a space to vent and figure out things as we go. Many of my clients have ADHD, Autism, OCD, Anxiety, or Depression. I am direct and solution-focused, so we'll get to the root of your unhelpful habits/patterns and figure out a game plan on how to move forward. I also do offer a sliding scale (therapy for cheaper rates) as college is already expensive enough! If you're ready to stop feeling like you're just getting through your day, reach out today. Evening & Saturday options available.
I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Emotions can be intense, and it’s not always easy to navigate the challenges they bring. I believe that healing and growth begins with understanding, acceptance, and self-compassion. I provide services for adolescents and adults, and primarily see clients for anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief and loss, trauma, family and relationship issues, and major life transitions. Whether you are trying out therapy for the first time, seeking to find a better therapy fit, or simply wanting to return to therapy work, don’t wait to start your journey towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Hi! My name is Rachel Devery and I work with students who struggle with OCD, general anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, and trauma/PTSD. Often anxieties and trauma leads to feeling stuck, hopeless or beyond repair. We can work together to build hope and find peace. The healing journey can be scary, and you are taking some brave steps forward. I know that healing is possible and you do not have to be stuck forever. It would be my honor to work alongside you in this journey to find healing and wholeness. We will work together to reach your goals and face fears. Every person heals differently, and I use a variety of techniques from evidenced-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
Adjusting to college life can be difficult on so many levels. I can help with anxiety and depression issues that you've been struggling with for a long time or that are new to you. Issues I often see are related to adjusting to being independent for the first time, the rigor of school, or navigating new social circles. I have special expertise in helping folks with body-focused repetitive behaviors (skin picking, hair pulling) as well as being training in cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia.
Many of those I work with come to me feeling stuck, uncertain or overwhelmed, struggling to understand loved ones and feeling disconnected. As we work together, you can expect to see meaningful changes. You’ll feel more comfortable in yourself and your relationships. Our work will promote healing, trust and security. You’re trying to figure out who you are while navigating school, relationships, family expectations, and the pressure to have your life figured out. Maybe everyone sees you as capable and independent, but underneath it all, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, lonely, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you’re learning how to make decisions for yourself without feeling guilty or worrying about disappointing everyone else. Therapy can be a soft, safe place to slow down, understand yourself, and create a life that feels like your own. My style is warm, collaborative, practical, and relational. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you feeling overwhelmed, help you set boundaries without guilt, and quiet the pressure to have life all figured out. This isn’t about becoming a better version of who everyone expects you to be; it’s about feeling more like yourself. Life doesn't have to be falling apart for you to deserve support. Therapy can be a space to feel seen, slow down, and care for yourself without guilt. Taking care of yourself is productive too. When you're ready to take that step, I'd be honored to help you get started.
Feeling Stressed, Stuck, or Just Overwhelmed? College is exciting—but let’s be honest, it can also feel like too much. Between classes, relationships, family expectations, and trying to figure out who you are and where you’re going, it’s easy to feel anxious, burnt out, or lost. Therapy can give you space to breathe, sort things out, and build tools that actually work for your life right now. You don’t have to wait until you’re “in crisis” to talk to someone—sometimes the best time to reach out is when you just need a place to be real without judgment. Whether it’s stress, identity questions, relationship struggles, or just feeling like you’re carrying more than you should, I’m here to walk with you. Your story matters, and your well-being matters. Let’s start where you are. Book a session today and give yourself the support you deserve.

College can be a fun and exciting chapter of life, but when something goes wrong, it can quickly feel out of control and overwhelming. Many students I work with are high achievers who appear to have it all together, yet privately struggle with anxiety, ADHD, self-doubt, loneliness, or the pressure to constantly perform and succeed, especially leading up to graduation as they prepare for the next chapter. When we live with constant pressures and a lack of self-compassion, we may begin feeling exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of ourselves. As a health psychologist, I enjoy helping college students navigate the academic, social, and personal challenges of this stage of life. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way, build practical skills to manage stress and stay focused, and strengthen your confidence and self-compassion. My goal is always to ensure you feel heard and understood, and to help you create a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and true to who you are. Together, we gain clarity on personal values, goals, and we build strategies to break through barriers and move towards what you truly want in life.
