We all encounter difficult stressors, setbacks and experiences that sometimes cause us pain. We may be challenged by difficult transitions, our relationships, previous trauma, depression or anxiety. We can make the choice to work through these events and grow even when things are hard and confusing. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to explore your struggles, and give you objective feedback and guidance to help you improve your life. Whether you'd like to improve your mood, strengthen relationships or need support coping with a difficult circumstance I can help. I work with young adults who have difficulty managing their emotions and who struggle with depression, anxiety, impulsive behavior, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, interpersonal problems, or problems functioning at work or school. I provide in-person and virtual evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients change ineffective behavioral patterns, develop more helpful ways of thinking, and accept difficult realities in order to build the lives they want. I see therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist to work towards their goals in treatment and in life. Through my validating and nonjudgmental style, I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment to help you reach your most desired goals and build a life worth living.
I have been practicing for over 30 years. I mainly have a client-focused approach. I’ve treated issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, career counseling, relationship stress, substance abuse, and others. In addition to psychotherapy, I have experience as a Life Coach. I also have training in sport psychology. I have developed Activity Therapy, bringing in a client’s sport, hobby, or other activity into the session. If you have specific questions, feel free to call, text, or email. I offer a free phone consultation for first time clients.
I am committed to creating a collaborative and open-minded atmosphere where you can come to know yourself more fully. People often seek psychotherapy when they feel overwhelmed and have reached a breaking point. They want to feel more grounded in who they are and the choices they make. Therapy offers a dedicated space to identify, understand and eventually transform painful experiences that have lead to suffering and frustration. My approach is warm and engaged. I have experience working in varied settings (inpatient units, partial programs, and community clinics) and with adults from all walks of life many of whom have lived through various traumatic experiences. I particularly enjoy working with graduate students and first gen college students navigating life transitions. I deeply respect the courage it takes to come to therapy and I welcome hearing from you.
How may I help you? I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, board-certified, working in Coolidge Corner, Brookline providing psychiatric diagnostic assessment, medication management, and consultation. I offer Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday appointments 7 am-6 pm. I started my career as a school-based-support-team social worker in the South Bronx. I became increasingly interested in a Mind-Body practice and began teaching Yoga, fitness, and Pilates. This journey led me back to school where I earned an MSN and certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My goal is to help you to increase joy and diminish suffering. I am a generalist working with adults. My clinical practice is client-centered, based on training, experience, and recommendations set forth by evidence-based care. I treat the symptoms, use medications conservatively. I encourage using workbooks as an adjunct or alternative to medication. Modern life presents many choices and challenges. Genetic and environmental stress, COVID-19 can be overwhelming. I offer my professional expertise to help you navigate through these challenges with awareness, compassion, and mindfulness. My sincere intention is to assist you in improving the quality of your relationships, work, and life. Please let me help.
Therapy provides a space for you to process difficult feelings and situations. As a therapist, I help patients explore new ways of engaging with the world and with themselves. My goal is for patients to translate insights and skills into noticeable changes in their lives. My style balances pragmatism, humor, compassion, and curiosity. I treat a range of concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, alcohol/substance use, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I draw on a range of theoretical approaches, emphasizing rootedness in the present moment and interpersonal connection.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in liberation psychology and is integrative, drawing from person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, and trauma-informed modalities. I center culturally responsive, anti-oppressive care that acknowledges the impact of systemic and structural violence. I value authenticity, collaboration, and co-creating a space where clients feel safe to be fully seen and supported, while also gently challenged toward growth and healing. I work with adults navigating mood/anxiety disorders, trauma/PTSD, identity development, life transitions, grief/loss, relational concerns, and complex life stressors. I work with clients across all identities and specialize in working with clients from marginalized backgrounds, especially Black and Caribbean individuals, and queer clients. I am a Haitian American clinician, fluent in Haitian Kreyol, second-generation, and queer. My identities, as well as my experience in hospital and community mental health settings, continue to shape my commitment to providing safe and culturally grounded community-based care.
Depth. Strategy. Lasting Change. I provide therapy and coaching for deep thinkers navigating executive function, overwhelm, or relational patterns that no longer serve them.

For anyone who has ever been accused of being too emotional, too sensitive, too wild; for anyone who doesn't fit into the boxes society has created for us; for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world-- you are the kinds of clients I want to work with. I invite you to join me in an exploration of self, where you are the expert of your own life and I am your guide, supporting you on your path to becoming. With your consent, I will hold space for you and will be honored to be a witness to your growth. What does it mean to hold space? It means the way in which we connect, the way in which I help you to feel safe, knowing that I will accept and validate your feelings and experiences while still holding you accountable, but always with the utmost softness and tenderness. I will assist you in finding your voice- that is, learning how to identify and verbalize what you want and need for yourself and from others. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, which, as a queer therapist, is extremely important to me. I have a great deal of training and experience in unpacking and exploring different aspects of identity, primarily gender and sexuality. I am skilled in supporting individual clients as well as their families through these journeys.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with over 13 years of experience. Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, as well as navigating significant medical challenges and grief and loss. Starting therapy can be an intimidating journey for many individuals. From my years of experience, I've learned that establishing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is paramount from the outset. My approach is to meet you where you are, listen attentively, and begin building this foundation right from our first session. In our work together, I see you as the driver of your journey, and my role is to assist you in navigating the path ahead. There are multiple avenues we can explore, and together we will determine the best route for your unique needs and goals. I would be privileged to accompany you on your path towards a happier, healthier self.
I affiliate with cognitive behavioral approach to treatment (CBT), as well as acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). My practice is based in Lexington, MA, where I provide both in-person and virtual treatment. I specialize in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, typically meeting more frequently to support deeper work. Therapy begins by reflecting on your experiences, with an effort to understand them rather than judge them. I take a compassionate approach to exploring your problems, your desire for change, and your difficulties in making changes. Through better understanding your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships, it may become possible to make more informed and meaningful choices. I am collaborative and flexible in my approach, looking for ways to work well together. I provide brief consultations for those seeking help thinking through specific challenges, gaining a professional perspective, or developing strategies for change. When people are struggling in their attempts to do things differently, I aim to help figure out what is getting in their way, a process that can take time but often leads to greater clarity. A therapeutic relationship with someone you trust can be an important path toward self-understanding and emotional relief. Because therapy is a deeply personal experience, it's important to find a therapist you feel comfortable working with. I welcome you to contact me if you're curious to see if this might be a good fit.
