Are you are living in a constant state of worry? Are you a couple who is sinking into a cycle of conflict that you can’t escape, or a Christian who feels lost and seeking spiritual guidance? Then Anchored Hope Counseling is the place for you. My counseling philosophy can be summarized in the name "Anchored Hope," which was inspired by Hebrews 6:19; a verse that teaches that hope for healing can be steadfast and anchors us. With secure hope, we may not always see how the healing will come but we know that it will come through faith. To me, counseling is a way to direct people to hope so that they can experience joy and wholeness. Clients describe me as empathetic, encouraging, and challenging. Through tailored sessions, my goal is to help clients achieve a steadfast hope in their lives: an anchored confidence in themselves and their relationships, and an understanding that they can be “ok” in the face of storms. Counseling does not make life itself better because hard times are inevitable. Instead, I want counseling to equip you with the skills and strength to know you can handle challenges as they come; skills that provide an anchor of hope. If you are struggling in the storm of life and are in need of hope, please reach out to Anchored Hope Counseling today.

My role is to help empower you to use your positive character traits to shift towards the change you want to see in life. I will incorporate mindfulness practice as well as components of Person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy and CBT to guide you in your therapeutic journey. Are you having trouble adjusting to life transitions? Are you bothered that you aren't good enough? Are you concerned that having emotionally immature parents has caused you to struggle in adulthood? Your experiences with transitions could become overwhelming, causing a lack of focus, a decrease in self-esteem, and second-guessing yourself. Imagine understanding your struggle to make changes or adapt. Imagine understanding the impact of a lack of emotional maturity or intimacy. There is a way to change these patterns in your life. You can overcome the blockage and barriers of change. I primarily use Internal Family Systems and the Change Triangle . These therapies help identify the internal attachment of faulty thoughts and emotions and help to explore ways to "detach" and live your life with purpose. Over time, you can successfully change how you think and feel about yourself and the world. I can help you understand your self-capacities by offering individual, couples, and family therapy focusing on the impact life transitions may have on your present and future inner peace and happiness.
