Marriage & Family Therapist
Scottsdale, AZ

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona, North Carolina, and South Carolina (LMFT 10386 Arizona, LMFT 20460 North Carolina, LMFT 8265 South Carolina, LMFT 155822 California). I specialize in working with individuals, young adults, and couples/families. My approach to therapy is collaborative and focused on helping all clients feel safe and comfortable in sessions so that change is more likely to occur. I am passionate about helping others heal so that they can feel fulfilled and aligned in life. I love helping clients feel unstuck and helping them get back in touch with their authentic selves so that they can know their worth. I believe that we are all capable of healing and that we have the ability to heal ourselves with the right resources and supports. I used intuitive approaches when working with clients and our work is tailored to fit your needs. I have advanced training in Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which allows me to understand how clients’ attachment histories have led to insecurities, feeling stuck, low self-esteem, trauma responses, interpersonal conflict, disconnection in relationships and negative narratives. This model allows individuals and families to heal past hurts and get unstuck from repetitive negative patterns. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which is an empirically validated model for trauma therapy, and Brainspotting (BSP) Therapy. These models focus on resolving ongoing trauma symptoms by helping the brain and body process information that is uncomfortable or disturbing so that the information is less painful.

Whether you are new to therapy or someone who is looking to explore a deeper, more profound approach, I am here to help you learn the tools and skills to create positive change in your life. My practice is about creating a safe space where clients are able to heal from anxieties, past difficulties, and traumas by increasing their awareness and acceptance of the different parts that make up who we are as human beings. In doing so, clients are able to release the burdens of the past and find new direction in their lives. I specialize in treating Trauma/ PTSD, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, LGBTQIA+ populations and more. My approach is to go in depth and explore core issues fundamental to well-being. Together, we will treat the causes, not just the symptoms. Getting to the root of mental health challenges facilitates deep transformation and healing from the inside out. I promise to offer you a safe space for exploration with compassion and an open mind. I employ evidence-based models that are individualized to meet your specific needs. I am certified in EMDR, which helps clients process and move past the emotional and physical pain rooted in traumatic memories. I also employ approaches from IFS, DBT and ACT. I am trained in mindfulness and self compassion based approaches and incorporate this into therapy.

I especially enjoy working with energetic and open minded clients just setting out on life's journey. You may be feeling stuck—restless, lost, or weighed down by things you don’t fully understand. Maybe it’s unfinished business from childhood, the pressure to always have it together, or just a nagging sense that something is missing. I get it. Life can be overwhelming, and it’s easy to feel lost in the noise. During my time in the military, I saw how deeply these struggles run, and I’ve spent my career helping people work through them. I will offer you non-judgmental space where you can sort through it all. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about real conversations, self-discovery, and building the life you actually want. My mission as your therapist is to collaborate with you in discovering your higher self. I practice from a Person-Centered lens that blends aspects of Gestalt Therapy, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in Natural Flow EMDR & Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. I will treat you like a human, not a science project. I pride myself on my laidback, casual style and in this approach I hope to show you that therapy is not as intimidating or mysterious as it may seem. I urge you to come exactly as you are, bringing your whole self. I appreciate you and I look forward to meeting you very soon.
