Honeybee Psychotherapy & Behavioral Health
We believe that all people deserve to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. We also think the world would be a better place if everyone else believed this too (but that’s just us- we aren’t trying to impose our values on you). To that end, we ask that clinicians, admin staff, and fellow clients be treated with the same kindness, dignity, and respect you would offer to the person or animal (because let’s be honest, sometimes animals are easier to treat well) you love the most. And, we expect ourselves to provide that to you. If ever something rubs you the wrong way or doesn’t feel like it matches this value, please let us know, and we will work to hear you, develop an understanding of where you are coming from, and try to resolve the situation until you feel your needs have been met. If that’s not possible, we will talk to you about options for the next steps.

Many clients have shared with me that I have successfully made the therapeutic experience less stressful for them. I have been able to put them at ease and feel safe and understood. The clients I work with feel accepted and not judged for who they are, what they have or have not done, or the emotional state they are in when they start therapy. Working in outpatient private practice settings, school wellness centers, community mental health centers, and prisons has allowed me to meet and work with adults, couples, and adolescents from diverse backgrounds facing a wide range of challenges. I'm a therapist with Octave and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group. Octave is a mental health practice providing high-quality care covered by multiple insurances. Evernorth Behavioral Care Group is a behavioral health provider group in-network with Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth. For my availability, please reach out to Octave’s team by emailing or calling.

Kimberleigh Hagar
I specialize in overthinking, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome. Clients who come to me often struggle with feeling “enough.". They often feel an imbalance in their lives and are quick to sacrifice self-care for others or in the face of stress. They feel their emotions strongly and sometimes feel controlled by them, leaving them often emotionally and physically drained. My clients are ready to create change in their lives and feel more peace of mind.

Sarah D. C. Fagan, MA, NCC, LCMHC
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with about a decade of professional counseling experience. I enjoy many things, including wandering the great outdoors, getting lost in a good story or my latest creative endeavors, hanging with my people and my pets, and learning about others as I journey alongside them. Whether someone needs a guide or simply some encouraging company, I’m here for it! I have a wide range of experience with various demographics and concerns, but specialize in working with challenges related to personal development, identity and values, relationships (including the relationship with oneself), and trauma. These can include relationship issues (family, friends, or romantic partners), parenting/guardianship, boundaries, grief, various traumas, fears and phobias, self-esteem and self-efficacy, guilt and shame, depressive and anxiety disorders, health issues, healthcare and educational work, and significant life changes. My approach is holistic, person-centered, strengths-based, and multicultural, and may combine aspects of the following: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Schema Therapy Attachment-Based Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Existential Therapy Gottman Method Mindfulness Therapy Narrative Therapy Play and Filial Therapy Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) I also believe that nature, music, creativity, and humor can play important roles in mental health, and may incorporate these elements into my practice. And, I would love to learn more about your interests and perhaps find ways to bring them into therapy! One of my key strengths as a counselor is my adaptability; I make it a priority to understand your needs and preferences, tailoring my approach accordingly. I always strive to be a warm and approachable counselor who is non-judgmental, respectful, honest, compassionate, and empowering. While I maintain professionalism, I also like to create a relaxed atmosphere during our sessions. (You can expect to see the real me, and I hope to see the real you!) I want therapy to be a positive and rewarding experience for you, and I will do my best to help you feel welcome. During our first sessions, I will likely focus on going over the basic policies and expectations, answering questions, getting to know you better, and learning how I can best support you in this chapter of your life. I'm here to meet you wherever you're at, and I would be honored to accompany you, support you, and empower you on your journey toward holistic wellbeing!

Kira Rowane
My name is Kira (she/her) and I am here to help you heal relational wounds. Relationships are foundational to our experience. Connection, intimacy, and feelings of safety are all tied into the relationships formed with ourselves, our communities, and even the natural world. These interactions, or lack thereof, shape our stories and affirm the kind of narratives we tell ourselves about the world around us. You and I’s relationship will act as a conduit for understanding these messages with the intention of cultivating greater connectedness. If relationships are the chapters within our stories, identity is the color and context that fills the pages. Our roles and identities are interwoven together to create the way in which we move through the world. My experience as the eldest child to Caribbean immigrants informed me of this at an early age as I realized not all of my parts of self were allowed expression. I came to understand that the cumulative burdens of family, society, and ancestry not only impacted myself, but everyone around me. The persistent stigma and lack of accessibility for quality mental health care is just one example of these collective burdens. For that reason, my practice is rooted in the belief that decolonizing mental health is essential for fostering genuine healing. I aim to expand traditional frameworks by valuing cultural diversity and understanding the role of historical trauma in shaping individual experiences. Together, we will navigate the impact of these legacies on mental health, promoting an inclusive and holistic therapeutic process. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

I'm so glad you're here! Pursuing therapy is a courageous choice that can feel daunting and uncertain. I hope to demystify the process and encourage feelings of trust, safety, and empowerment. My goal is to help folks gain insight, learn new coping strategies, and increase their self-confidence, self-compassion, and self-advocacy. I provide individual and group therapy services to adult clients. I also provide psychological assessment and evaluation. Additionally, I enjoy helping individuals gain insight into their relationships, interpersonal patterns, and intersecting identities. I am a PSYPACT provider, meaning I can provide teletherapy to individuals in participating states. I provide virtual appointments to individuals in North Carolina.
