I genuinely want people to experience peace and move toward a life of flourishing. Life is complex and no person is immune from hurt and pain. With caring kindness, the best of science, and the wisdom of human experience we can help you move through your life’s complexity with less distress and toward peace and flourishing. It feels like no matter how hard you try, somehow you always end up right back where you started. Plagued by nagging self-doubts that say you aren’t good enough, strong enough, or smart enough, you wonder how anyone could really love you. Fearful that if other people knew the “real” you, they’d turn away. Bending and contorting yourself to be what others think you should be, you end up feeling anxious or depressed most of the time. And then there are those experiences that you don’t talk about. The shame and guilt are too much. Every day feels harder than the last with no end in sight. You don’t have to live that way anymore. I will teach you the skills to identify the thoughts and beliefs that are getting in your way, the steps to change them, and a new way to see yourself and your experiences. I won’t lie, this is hard work. But it will be so much easier than staying stuck. You can do this and I will be by your side supporting you. Now is the time to step into a new chapter in your life. Experience an inner voice that is encouraging and hopeful. Hold yourself with compassion and care. Embrace your authentic self. Feel free, hopeful and happy. Call me today to set up your free consultation. Welcoming diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender identities.
Over-stimulation of sensitivities and the need for recognition and care of those sensitivities is so important in the world we live in today. I have worked with Neuro-divergent clients helping them to understand, address and heal the trauma of power and control, which causes so much suffering in our present world. With twenty plus years of extensive experience working with high-spectrum autism, I offer personalized therapy sessions designed to support both clients and caregivers, helping you create positive change, build stronger connections, and foster growth in your relationship with your loved one. Cognitive Bodhicitta Therapy is a course of treatment which helps my clients to unpack and process their past, letting go of their trauma, so that they may find their purpose, to build the life they wish to live. "Know Thyself", is the core tenet of my work and to love oneself is to truly know oneself. Let me help you find that purpose and self love. My journey has been that of a healer, join me in that journey and let me help you find your personal path to healing and self love.
My counseling practice integrates holistic mind and body-oriented therapeutic approaches, depth psychology, and client-centered care. I offer you support to move past your blocks, calm your fears, and experience your truest self. My experiential approaches are guided by your values and aims.

You are probably here today because no matter how hard you try, you don't feel good enough. Maybe mentally you are aware of your success in school, work &/or at home but you don't feel it. Something brought back the painful, unwanted memories you tried so hard to forget & patterns that hold you back on the inside. Imagine yourself one day waking up without nightmares, enjoying life, feeling more fully present every moment, safe enough to explore friendships, romantic relationships, and to say “no.” I know that you have the potential to heal & build a better life for yourself because other survivors of trauma I have worked with & met have done so. I invite you to call me for a free 15 min. consultation.

College and young adulthood can be an exciting but stressful time. People may see you as focused and driven, but inside you feel more scattered and anxious than they realize. Perfectionism and an internal critic run your schedule. School, work, relationships, finding time for yourself—you feel like it's all too much, but you also worry you're not doing enough. You often say "Yes" when you want to say, "No, I can't handle one more thing!" Trying to manage ADHD, trauma, or just your day-to-day mood on top of everything feels extra exhausting. You wish you could feel balanced, confident, more at ease... maybe even kinder to yourself. I can help you navigate the "typical" aspects of young adulthood that are actually more challenging than they look. We'll focus on what's most important to you, whether that's exploring internal dynamics or learning new skills to cope with the daily tough stuff. My therapy style is interactive, collaborative, and inclusive—both tears and laughter are always welcome. I know starting therapy can feel tough, but finding a great therapist shouldn't be. To that end, I'm happy to offer you a free consultation to answer your questions, connect a bit, and see if I'm a good fit for your therapy needs. Please reach out to schedule a call!
At different times in our lives, we experience hardships that may overwhelm us. These can sometimes be brought on by relationships, careers, family, or health. Or perhaps it is more of a persistent feeling you've grown accustomed to but wish there was a way of changing. The meaning we've made from life's past events serves as a template for how we will process each new experience in the future. My goal is to help facilitate an insight-oriented process of understanding why we feel the way we do and provide a source of strength and a healthy curiosity to lead to a better tomorrow.

What haven't you said? And what might change if you said it? Some things only become known and shift under the right conditions. I'm Andrew, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Ashland, OR, remote across OR, MD, and NY. I've been a therapist for 15 years. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship snags, troublesome patterns, career and purpose questions, and the more diffuse sense that something is off. I work with students and graduate students sorting out what it means to become themselves while meeting everyone else's expectations, and with medical students and residents under the particular pressures of clinical training. I've also spent years with addiction, trauma, and more acute struggles. My training is psychoanalytic, but in practice I'm more interested in you than in applying any of it to you. I'm not here to fit you into a framework or hand you formulas for how to be. Together we explore what matters, what repeats, what gets avoided, what happens between us. You come to know what's best. That stays with you anywhere. The first conversation is a brief phone call, fifteen or twenty minutes, to talk about what brought you in and whether we're a fit. Not sure if therapy is for you? That's a fine place to start. Reach out.
