College can intensify difficulties with attention, mood, anxiety, relationships, sleep, motivation, and daily routines. I help students sort through multiple concerns, understand what may be contributing to them, and decide what to address first. My approach is warm, practical, and individualized, ranging from concrete problem-solving to deeper emotional work. Humor is also an important part of treatment. As a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive psychotherapy experience, I consider how biology, medical conditions, developmental history, personality, relationships, and daily life interact. This broader perspective guides thoughtful decisions about medication, psychotherapy, mind-body practices, or some combination of these. I provide careful ADHD evaluations that consider developmental history as well as other factors that can affect attention and executive functioning, including anxiety, mood, trauma, sleep, substance use, and life structure. I also work with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, relationship difficulties, and developmental trauma. When a student already has a therapist, I welcome close collaboration with that therapist. I graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed my psychiatric residency at Thomas Jefferson University. My postgraduate psychotherapy training has included experiential approaches and Attachment-Focused EMDR.

We offer both shorter term solution-focused therapy as well as longer term in-depth psychotherapy depending on your individual needs. Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and understand yourself better, leading to symptom reduction and lasting change. Common issues we address that bring people into therapy are: depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, trauma and PTSD, and low self esteem/self worth. We are also skilled at working with people with psychotic and bipolar disorders. We offer individual therapy as well as couples counseling. My name is Eve Buck (she/her/hers), and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with individuals and couples living in New York and Pennsylvania at my virtual practice. I completed my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. My previous training includes working with undergraduate and graduate students at the Fordham University counseling center, as well as community practices where I have worked with culturally diverse clients from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and senior adults and have specialized training in therapy for people who identify as Latinx. It is through the experiences and lessons I have learned along my work and personal journeys that I hope to support your path toward overcoming your personal struggles and finding greater fulfillment. I pride myself on utilizing a multicultural approach to therapy while bringing in teachings and principles of multiple disciplines, drawing mainly from psychodynamic therapy among other evidence-based practices. It is this multidisciplinary approach that I believe best serves clients, allowing space for present-minded problem solving as well as exploration into a client’s past, relationships, and emotional experience. Our work together can be tailored based on your life story and experiences and what you hope to gain from therapy. Everyone’s therapy journey is different. Whether it’s working through trauma or beginning a path towards better self-understanding, I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental, and productive space where people can find relief from distressing symptoms as well as develop a stronger sense of self through insight and reflection. Just like each person is unique, each treatment is different and adapted to who you are and what you need. I recognize the wide breadth of human experience and I bring this knowledge with me to best meet your needs. Life can be difficult and confusing, but as your therapist I will be there to empathize with and support you through it.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by classes, work, or family expectations. Anxious about the future. Stuck in relationship patterns that keep hurting, or questioning who you are and where you’re headed. Perhaps you’re navigating trauma, a painful breakup or betrayal, loneliness, identity questions, academic pressure, or a major life transition. You might look like you’re holding it together on the outside, while inside you feel disconnected, exhausted, or never quite enough. You may long to feel more grounded, confident, connected, and understood. If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. My therapy practice offers a calm, compassionate space where college students and young adults can slow down, feel seen, and make sense of what they’re going through. I work with individuals and couples who are hurting and ready for change, whether that means healing from past experiences, strengthening relationships, or reconnecting with themselves. Together, we’ll explore the parts of your story that feel tender or confusing and work toward greater clarity, self-compassion, and meaningful growth.

If you're not feeling like college is exactly what you pictured, - you're overwhelmed by meeting a ton of new people, - finding it harder to be away from home than you expected, - or feeling like you're expected to just know how to "adult", That makes sense! And you're not the only one. It's really difficult to balance all of the competing priorities in college. There's the pressure to do well academically, the constant socializing or feeling isolated away from friends, the emotional shit creeping up on us at 4am... It's a lot. Many of our clients think, "On top of everything else, how am I supposed to know who I am or what I'm doing with my life?" Especially if you're queer or trans, this time can be even more challenging when you don't feel like you have a dedicated space to process what comes up. The truth is, you're not supposed to have all the answers. As you go through figuring it out (and finding more questions) - one step at a time - it might help to have some extra support. Kindred Therapy LLC is an inclusive, affirming psychotherapy practice seeing clients over telehealth in PA and NJ. We support you in accepting all of your parts, healing from trauma, and just overall navigating this weird life. We particularly prioritize space for queer, gender expansive, neurodivergent, and QTBIPOC individuals.

Moving through change, feeling disconnected, or questioning what’s next can be overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I offer a collaborative and compassionate space for individuals, couples, and families to explore the stories that shape their lives. Together, we’ll consider what still rings true, what feels heavy, and what you may be ready to release. I’m especially drawn to working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, as well as those navigating belonging, intersecting identities, and spiritual shame. Our work will move at your pace and center the questions that matter most to you. I’ll walk alongside you as we untangle confusion and constraints to foster greater connection, clarity, and choice. You’re the expert on your experience. My job is to help create space for your voice and to support you in honoring what it has to say. If you're ready to begin, I am currently accepting new clients and would love to connect with you.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. I use evidence-based approaches to help people experiencing body image and self-esteem concerns, anxiety, depression, and disordered eating among other behavioral and psychological challenges. I seek to understand each person’s unique experience. We all have a history that has shaped who we are, the messages we tell ourselves, and the behaviors we use to cope with the unavoidable pain that life brings us. I collaborate with each person to understand their experience, increase their insight, and facilitate progress toward their goals. I am thorough and kind-hearted, and I also appreciate moments of levity and laughter to balance the challenging aspects of therapy. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with other evidence-based approaches to guide our work. This often involves discussing inner self-critical messages and taking a closer look at challenging moments and reoccurring patterns. We will gain an understanding of the patterns that are moving you closer to and further from what you want out of life and develop strategies to help you move closer to the life you want to live. We will be on this journey together, working as a team, and adjusting the work to the right direction and pace for you.

People often seek therapy to resolve past experiences and life complexities and the decision to enter therapy may carry feelings of ambivalence and uncertainty. I believe that therapy is most effective when persons are offered an environment that is inviting, collaborative, affirming, and safe. Subsequently, my goal is to provide a challenging, but non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere for persons to explore concerns and difficulties as a means of achieving desired change. I have been trained in psychodynamic and gestalt therapy and trauma and attachment theory and I integrate these theoretical constructs to understand the uniqueness of each person. Further, I include harm reduction, cultural, strengths perspective, and social justice lenses to recognize each person's lived experience. In end, I have an extensive history working with persons of queer and trans/GNC experience and specific interest in working with complex trauma, substance misuse and addiction, attachment, and grief/loss. I offer an informed perspective when working with persons in polyamorous relationships and/or the kink community.
