In my time working as a counselor, I have helped patients manage and overcome obstacles like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. From challenges with the overwhelming pressure of academic life, work life, career choices, relationship challenges, and more, I will be there to offer an objective perspective on your situation and provide healthy tips and resources to navigate it. My approach empowers personal growth while always ensuring you feel safe, seen, and heard. Therapy is a great place to talk about life's problems where you can say anything and not be judged. No matter what you’re facing, talking with someone can help. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend…a friend who happens to be a licensed counselor with more than 10 years of experience. I work with teenagers (age 14+), adults, as well as couples. Depending on patients’ needs, I utilize CBT, DBT, and Reality Therapy approaches in sessions. Currently, all sessions will be conducted virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home and on a more flexible schedule. Let's do this together!
Elevthera Wellness was founded in 2018 by Alecia Denillo, LPC, with a simple but powerful intention: to create a therapy space that felt less like a clinical transaction and more like a genuine partnership. Over the years, that vision has grown into a practice of dedicated therapists who share the same core values - warmth, collaboration, authenticity, and a deep respect for each client's unique journey. Whether you're navigating anxiety, rebuilding your sense of self, learning to set boundaries, or simply trying to figure out who you are on the other side of a big life change - you're in the right place.

Hello! My name is Christy Nyakana, and I have been a licensed therapist for 19 years. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Master of Social Work degree in 2003. Since then, I have been very fortunate to work with amazingly diverse and ever-resilient clients. I have provided therapy in psychiatric inpatient settings, schools, community mental health clinics, Dr.’s offices, private practice, and military bases. Currently, I provide online teletherapy through a HIPAA compliant platform. I have significant experience with adjustment issues, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, women's issues, military culture, and pre/post-surgical bariatric counseling. I am an LGBTQ+ informed therapist who is knowledgeable about the kink and polyamory/ENM community. Additionally, I take diversity and racism seriously. I am a supporter of LGBTQ+, BLM and Women's Rights. Although I cannot claim to know firsthand how unsafe--and unseen--many marginalized people feel, what I can guarantee is, that when you are talking with me, I will do everything I can to help you feel safe and accepted, regardless of our differences. I recognize that life circumstances can be challenging, unexpected, confusing, and leave us feeling overwhelmed and not understood. It can be helpful to talk with someone who has the experience and compassion to help you discover the best path to meet your personal goals. I am committed to providing therapy that is always positively focused and encourages self-acceptance. Learning to focus on our strengths to make healthy choices physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually are all part of long-term health and success. Hopefully, that is something I can help you with!

College is hard. Trying to balance school work, activities and time with friends while managing relationships with family members or existing supports takes a lot of energy. It can be hard to find the time to do everything that needs done. Getting motivated to do things and figuring out how to prioritize school/work is a challenge in its own right. Whether it's relationship issues, struggles with focusing and stating motivated, or school/work stress, we will work on what you want to work on and figure out together how to accomplish the goals you want to accomplish. You don't have to go through things alone. This is a judgement free zone. Call today or email today for a free consultation.
I empower individuals to discover their resiliency, harness the energy of their anxiety in productive ways, and better manage negative unhelpful worry thinking. Anxiety results in the space between overestimating the probability of danger AND underestimating your ability to cope with it. My philosophy for healing is that everyone has strength and resiliency to cope with much more than they could imagine, and through therapy you discover those strengths and how to implement them. I have worked with hundreds of clients in 15+ years as a licensed therapist. Having been an active duty military spouse for 20 years, I have been licensed in 6 states and have vast experience providing therapy to diverse populations in numerous settings with various needs. This led me to a path of focusing more on primary anxiety conditions (such as general anxiety, panic, phobias) to secondary anxiety (from ADHD, autism, sensory integration) to justifiable external stressors (for example, societal, environmental, financial). I use research-proven Virtual Reality Immersion Therapy (VRIT), biofeedback, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy techniques, and other evidence based models to help clients face fears and anxieties in customized imaginal and constructed virtual environments while teaching the coping skills of mindfulness, thought restructuring, and regulating body sensations. I offer weekend and evening hours, as well as the option for secure messaging and video contact between sessions for established clients. Hi, I'm Dr. Annie Moten. Since earning my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University, I have approached therapy as a collaborative journey, walking alongside my clients to help them understand their experiences without judgment. My goal is to support individuals in creating a life that acknowledges both their pain and their potential for growth. I strive to build trust through straightforwardness, kindness, irreverence, and humor, creating a space that is both safe and empowering. Drawing on my extensive DBT training and lived experience, I foster emotional containment and autonomy. I also incorporate creative outlets. Our approach at Better Life Associates is active and collaborative. We believe that a strong working alliance with our patients is critical to help achieve emotional insights in treatment that lead to positive and lasting change. We also help identify patterns of behavior that hold individuals back from leading a better and more fulfilling life. Whether you are seeking in-person treatment in Long Island, NY or teletherapy in NY, NJ, or PA, I'd be delighted to hear from you. I have limited therapy session times currently available in my schedule, so let's set up an initial preliminary call soon to discuss how we can work together.
Change is a constant in life, and as a therapist, I believe in empowering my patients to embrace it. My goal is to allow you to free yourself from harmful patterns of behavior through self-expression, and to challenge your beliefs in a safe environment. I encourage you to explore your emotions freely during our sessions, without judgment or restraint. Our time together will allow you to feel heard and understood. Together we can work towards a better understanding of your wants, needs, and identities. I encourage you to reach out.
I'm passionate about helping my clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and of how they show up in the world. Have you ever said to yourself, "there's got to be more to life than this!" or wondered, "what do other people understand that I'm just not getting?". If you find yourself craving an easier flow to daily living and more enjoyment of the present moment, you're in the right place. I firmly believe each person has the ability to create a life they love and live with more inner peace and contentment. I'd love to support you in your journey of self-growth and exploration!

My therapeutic approach is informed by my background in meditation, Eastern contemplative philosophy, and evolutionary psychology. I work with clients to establish a treatment plan that is uniquely sensitive to their particular clinical needs and concerns. Some of the most common techniques I employ focus on the important relationship between body and mind; these experiential, somatic, and cognitive interventions allow for critical shifts in perspective that promote meaningful and enduring behavioral change.
You've trained your body, let's strengthen your mind. I provided a safe space for athletes to explore the internal game - with clarity, courage and compassion. I believe the toughest competition is often within. My mission is to guide athletes in discovering their mental power, cultivating emotional balance, and owning their unique inner arena.
