Radical Healing
We are a diverse collective of queer, trans, cis, anti-racist healers, makers, bodyworkers, change makers, counselors, artists, social workers, physicians, musicians, energy workers, clinical and counseling psychologists, activists, caregivers, justice seekers, peacemakers, movement guides, yogis, workers, dream weavers, trouble makers and scholars. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of each person and offer sliding scale services based on an economic justice model of financial privilege. to that end, we challenge white supremacy, capitalism, ableism and all systems of oppression to make our programs and services more affordable and accessible to poor and working class people and people of color. We affirm that all individuals are the experts of their own experiences and choices and are committed to providing trans-informed care and support trans folx in their gender self determination using an informed consent model of care. We believe that individual wellness contributes to social justice and social justice contributes to individual wellness and that radical inclusion must involve radical transformation. We understand that through the pursuit of justice, equity, healing and reconciliation we may cultivate healthier societies and foster relationships with self and community liberated from violence and oppression. In our efforts to ensure ongoing, successful collaboration with the LGBTQueer+, People of Color and people of all identities, we commit to regular, ongoing trainings, consultation and are active agents of change and advocacy in our communities. More than just my work: The dance floor is my personal sanctuary; I am an avid Latin dancer and an aerial acrobat with a decade of performance and choreography experience. Dance has taught me that beauty and freedom await when we embrace the unexpected and grow through adversity — just like my favorite quote says: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” ~Vivian Greene Client Focus: Adults 18+, Women, LGBTQ+, Couples, Veterans Types of therapy: CBT, DBT, Art Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused, Strengths-Based, Mindfulness-Based, Gestalt, Jungian, Feminist, Holistic, Trauma-Responsive Care Issues: (Standard) Anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, addiction (Specialties) Identity- and gender-affirming, women’s issues, dissociation, suicidal ideation, domestic violence/abuse, relationship issues, co-dependency, grief, bullying

I welcome individuals from all backgrounds. I prioritize working with any and all women, girls, members of the Queer and Trans communities, and expecting parents, ages 15+. As a cisgender white woman I am aware of the privileges I hold and I honor the perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experiences of my clients. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic process and therefore will ask for your input in goal-setting and treatment planning conversations. I will at times offer clinical guidance, but not before hearing what it is you are seeking and hoping to gain from your therapy experience. My work is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based, aimed at co-creating strong therapeutic rapport. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Mindfulness and Grounding, and Therapeutic Art. Through each of these interventions, I aim to strengthen and empower your voice and provide a safe space to be who you are, without judgment and without expectation.

I can help you change unhelpful behaviors and thought patterns such as catastrophizing and self criticism, develop resilience and self care to manage stress, and create healthier and happier relationships. I take a holistic, mind body approach which includes developing lifestyle habits to help you feel your best emotionally and physically. I recognize that most of the work of therapy happens outside of our sessions so I frequently make suggestions for things to work on in between our meetings. My approach is influenced by CBT, Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic Theory, and Mindfulness, and trauma informed. I enjoy working with students and professionals and welcome clients of all background and identities into my practice. You can visit my website for more information.

I use an integrative model primarily developed from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, with post-modern existentialism. What that means is we focus on what you're doing and I help you decide what the meaning of things are. Meaning of life stuff, or just the meaning of an event. My background is extensive and diverse, so I believe I can offer a great deal of perspective and help you figure out whatever it is that seems to be holding you up.

Lifeologie Counseling
Lifeologie Counseling works with a very diverse set of clientele that experience a multitude of mental health and life issues. Lifeologie's Durham practice is located about 15 minutes from North Carolina Central University's campus and has worked closely with many students and faculty from the school. Graduate students from numerous universities, including NCCU, Wake Forest, and NC State, have completed their practicum/internships at Lifeologie Counseling and have begun working under the owner/supervisor, Dr. Elizabeth Grady. While working in close connection with colleges across NC, Lifeologie has had the opportunity to help counsel and connect with undergraduate, graduate, transfer, first generation, and many other types of students. Learning from and understanding the various cultures and subcultures existing within these schools/populations has allowed for further knowledge and experience of Lifeologie counselors. Some issues amongst students that Lifeologie counselors have worked with include school adjustments/troubles, life transitions, anxiety and depression, racial/gender/religious identities, interpersonal relationships, and deep rooted trauma.

Life presents each of us with an ever-evolving host of changes and transitions. This sense of change and transition can be even more pronounced for people encountering new opportunities along with new challenges. My aim is to provide structure, consistency, and compassion that helps clients make decisions about how to proceed in different areas of life. This approach embraces complexity, allowing clients the freedom to explore while still maintaining a focus on their treatment goals. Whether someone seeks therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, stronger emotion regulation, coping skills, or anything else, I take an approach tailored specifically to each client's needs.

Whatever brought you to consider therapy, know that you are not alone. Many of us struggle to manage intense emotions, connect deeply with others, meet our goals, live up to our expectations, accept ourselves, or find meaning in life. In a safe and supportive space you are free to express yourself openly, honestly, and authentically, and together we can work to discover the ways you would like your life to be different. The approach we take to implement those changes will be guided by your personality, culture, and needs. Through developing mental, emotional, and physical self-awareness, my clients build skills that enable them to handle painful thoughts, emotions, and experiences in more adaptive ways, They steadily shedding ways of relating with the world and themselves that are harmful, unsustainable, or no longer serving them, creating space to bring their values to life. I find mindfulness and nurturing the mind-body connection to be powerful tools in accessing our natural healing abilities. Overcoming a number of my own mental health struggles in the past has yielded a wealth of compassion and empathy for the clients I see today, as well as faith in their abilities to heal, grow, and build a life worth living.

If we do end up working together, prepare to be heard, encouraged, laugh, and most importantly, work to build the life you envision for yourself!
