My goal for each client is to provide hope and support while facilitating the therapeutic process. I specialize in working with adults, teens and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life changes. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, pulling from multiple approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused/short-term therapy. Through therapy, I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, so clients feel safe and heard while discussing difficult issues. I am committed to strengthen every individual, couple and family in our community by providing care and therapeutic services to lessen mental health stigmas around treatment.
I am a mature, older woman with a great deal of professional and life experience that I apply in my practice. I am an empathic, respectful, and careful listener. I work with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, life transitions, attachment, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, women’s issues, LGBTQ+ challenges, and relationships. I also have a special interest in neurodivergence, including both high achievers and individuals with ADHD. Because of my proximity to MSU, I have the pleasure of working with many college students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I work eclectically, carefully tailoring my practice to each of my clients, utilizing approaches to therapy that are trauma-informed, integrative, and experiential. I am trained in many different modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey to wellness, working together to resolve the issues that bring you to therapy.

Hi there! My name is Jessica, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I believe the real job of therapy is to provide a safe place where you get to know yourself better and make changes in your life. My goal is to help you express emotions that are interfering with your life, and guide you through them at your own pace. It is a collaborative process where we work together to explore what you are going through and identify what you are looking to accomplish. It is important to me throughout this process you are feeling heard, understood, and respected. My idea of successful therapy includes you walking out with new ideas and new ways of doing things that fit your personal values and bring you happiness. It is my passion and privilege to join in this journey with you. I provide therapy services for adults, adolescents, and children. I have participated in several trainings over the years centered on play and art therapy techniques.

Before anything else, I prioritize and value the relationship I build with each person I work with and believe that therapy is a unique space where growth and change occurs through a strong, collaborative relationship. As your therapist, you can expect us to explore both your past and present experiences, as I believe our past often shapes how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world today. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, authenticity, and curiosity about yourself. Together, we'll explore both your thoughts and emotions to better understand your experiences and identify meaningful ways to move forward. I believe that while there is much about the human experience that we all share, each person's story, identities, and life circumstances are uniquely their own. I see you as the expert on your own life and view therapy as a collaborative process. While you set the direction, I'm here to offer guidance and help us determine where our work can be most meaningful. I consider myself very much a "talk therapist," meaning I believe much of the therapeutic change occurs within the therapy relationship and room itself. I also strive to create a space that feels genuine, relaxed, and approachable. Therapy can absolutely involve difficult emotions, but it can also include laughter and moments of joy along the way.

Hi! I am an EMDR-Certified and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist with a specialization in working with college students (both "traditional" and "non-traditional"). I deeply enjoy getting to work with folks who are looking to address challenges they might be experiencing in their relationships: their relationships to partners, friends, family members, and importantly, to themselves. Many life experiences may lead us to feel in disconnection with ourselves: whether you have experienced relational or institutional trauma, are navigating multiple life transitions (e.g. beginning a new degree, receiving a new medical diagnosis), or are exploring social, sexual or gender identity, I am here to help you reconnect with yourself and take steps forward in your healing journey.
"Going away to college" can be a wonderful and terrifying experience all at the same time: learning how to manage the many details of daily life while figuring out the big picture of who you are and what you want to do. It can also be a time of sorting out family relationships and choosing new paths. It can bring up a lot of anxiety, stress and self-doubt. We have many combined years of helping people through these experiences. If you would like intelligent, warm and useful support in navigating your thoughts and emotions, please give us a call.
I am passionate about supporting the mental health of college students, with over a decade of experience dedicated to this field. We all experience difficult moments in our life journey. I am glad you are here to reflect on those moments and create space for personal growth, peace, and inner strength. I view therapy as a vital layer of support—a confidential space for self-exploration and healing. My hope is that this support empowers you to navigate life’s challenges alongside other sources of strength, such as family, friends, and community. My approach focuses on identifying and strengthening the skills you need to manage symptoms while addressing root causes. This process helps you gain deeper insight into your behaviors, ultimately fostering lasting change. Prevention and holistic well-being are also central to my work. I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking personal growth and well-being. My focus is on empowering you to overcome challenges and achieve mental and emotional wellness. I believe in the power of therapy as a tool for positive change and am committed to helping you navigate your unique life journey. I received my master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan since October 2013. Prior to my graduate program at Wright State University, I worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India. My clinical approach is integrative, incorporating perspectives and strategies from cognitive-behavioral, systems, feminist, and interpersonal frameworks. I am here to provide you with a safe space to explore the symptoms and challenges that affect your ability to have a meaningful life. I also prioritize a solution-focused approach when addressing mental health issues. It's important to consistently develop and strengthen our skills to manage various life challenges. My areas of clinical interest are anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem, holistic health, life transitions, personal growth, coping skills, and college/student transitions. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy services to meet your individual needs and preferences. In-person sessions are available through GR Therapy Group in Grandville, a practice with a commitment to quality care. For those who prefer the flexibility of remote support, I provide secure and confidential telehealth sessions through Headway. An essential part of our lives is creating and maintaining connections: to ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Sometimes, those connections require extra attention, in order to get the most out of life. I would be honored to walk with you through the process of learning about and cultivating that inner and outer connectedness. I work from a person-centered, holistic, and mindfulness-based approach. This means that I try to help my clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while practicing to re-regulate their body sensations in the moment. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, let’s connect! It's easiest for me to communicate by email, so if you reach out with a brief description of what you'd like help with we can get the process started.

Making the step toward healing is a courageous choice, and in knowing how vulnerable this process can be, I strive to provide a safe, accepting environment for those who are ready to open themselves up to this growth. I believe that all humans are inherently worthy, and I will support you in uncovering this within yourself. There are many obstacles that can get in the way of aligning with your core values and the life you desire, and my goal is to guide you in the learning and unlearning process that can help reconnect you with your true self.
My path started by working in alternative high schools, and then as a career counselor in management and business development roles for a few universities and military populations. I have over 18 years of experience working in education, career development, and mental health. My experience growing up in Flint, Michigan, and being the first in my family to attend college, shaped how I view and overcome challenges. I specialize in support for working professionals, especially teachers, nurses, and students with anxiety or depression who are struggling in their careers, education, or relationships. Many feel stuck, burnt out, angry, and overwhelmed. Chronic stress makes it hard for them to connect with their instructors, bosses, and peers. Time management is an issue and constantly trying to keep up. Some may prefer to be alone, even though it leads to ruminating over traumatic work experiences and substance use. My clients have demanding jobs and/or class schedules, and are highly trained and accustomed to solving problems. However, no one is immune to the long-term effects of stress and trauma. I have over 18 years working in counseling, higher education, and career development. My communication style is warm, yet solution-focused, often encouraging you to think from the end, build your resilience, and focus on the future. Some clients get what they need to make a positive change in 6-8 sessions. Others enjoy my long-term support to address trauma. First time trying talk therapy? Congrats on taking the first step. I value confidentiality and understand the college campus and workplace cultures. You do not have to go through this alone. Let's get you out of survival mode and start to thrive. Reach out to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation today. I look forward to talking with you.
Hello! I am a mental health therapist (LLC). I offer both in person and virtual mental health therapy appointments. I have a wide range of experiences and am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process where clients are able to explore within a safe, affirmative, and compassionate space. By centering on the client’s voice and experience, healing is supported with self-empowerment and compassion. I also recognize that there are connections between the mind and body which can allow for alternative methods of healing to be explored so the best fit can be found for each individual. My current clinical interests include concerns related to sex, sexuality, and gender identity as well as life phase adjustments and relational issues. While interested in learning many psychological techniques, I maintain a framework focused on existential theory and strengths-based practices.
My name is Renee Rose. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider. I have extensive trauma training and experience working with individuals and families. I specialize in working with women during and after pregnancy. I also enjoy supporting people with anxiety and depression symptoms as well as people that are having difficulty in relationships (making and keeping friendships or intimate relationships, communication issues and/or difficulty setting boundaries with self or others). Additionally, I enjoy helping people discover themselves as they become young adults and how that impacts their relationships.
I have been practicing in the social work field for over 15 years. I feel it is a privilege to be able to walk alongside those who are facing struggles of any type. The college years can be filled with new adventures, but they can also include many hardships as you grow into an independent adult. I would be honored to walk with you on this journey and help you to face whatever struggles you are facing during this time.
I work with teens and adults who feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, discouraged, or worn down by chronic pain. Together, we pursue healing that honors both your mental health and your faith. My approach is grounded in clinical psychology, with the option to thoughtfully integrate Christian spirituality and/or address religious trauma in a way that is respectful, collaborative, and aligned with your values. As therapy progresses, you’ll begin to notice meaningful shifts. Life, work, and relationships will feel lighter and steadier. Moments of genuine joy will return. When difficult thoughts or emotions arise, they won’t pull you under. Instead of spiraling into overthinking or self-criticism, you’ll respond with clarity, wisdom, and self-compassion. The harsh inner voice softens, replaced by one that is kinder and more truthful. The world may still feel uncertain at times, but it will no longer feel hopeless. If you’re wondering whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to learn more about my story and approach.
